First Proj

A friend came to me for help making a pop-fantasy poster in a tarot card style for their Dungeons and Dragons campaign. While the colors used in the objects were meant to stick out, I use this as an example of what I can accomplish given two days' notice, in a format that up until then I was unfamiliar with. This was also an exercise in creative liberties, as the client was willing to work within my experience as a designer to make the poster the best it could be.

Logo Integration (WSU and Smash Bros)

During my free time, I like to learn new techniques and skills in order to design things. In my sophomore year of college I was in a student run group where we played the popular game Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. As practice, I wanted to integrate the WSU logo into the Smash logo to try and use it as some kind of logo for the club, and learned that there were restrictions that WSU place on how its logo can be presented in certain capacities (this piece does NOT follow those rules). Regardless of whether I was able to use this logo, integrating two logos representing organizations that I continue to be passionate about taught me a valuable lesson on how to integrate two brands with very different backgrounds into one seamless design.

Physics Symposium

This piece was created for an advertisement in 2014 for my high school’s Physics Symposium. While the process was a collaborative effort between myself and two other students, I designed and outlined the poster itself. This was my first experience designing in a group setting. It taught me how important communication and proper leadership in the design space are, and helped me put my best foot forward in designing collaboratively in the future.
